Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Worldwide Disability Access Association (WDAA). By submitting your volunteer application and participating in our volunteer program, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms and conditions are designed to ensure a positive and productive experience for both you and WDAA.
1. Eligibility
1.1 You must be at least 18 years old to volunteer with WDAA. If you are under 18, you must have the consent of a parent or guardian and may be subject to additional restrictions.
2. Volunteer Responsibilities
2.1 As a volunteer, you agree to:
- Adhere to all WDAA policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Perform your volunteer duties to the best of your ability.
- Be punctual and reliable, notifying your supervisor as soon as possible if you are unable to fulfill your volunteer commitment.
- Respect the confidentiality of all sensitive information you may encounter during your volunteer activities.
- Maintain a professional and respectful demeanor when interacting with WDAA staff, other volunteers, and the public.
3. Code of Conduct
3.1 WDAA expects all volunteers to:
Treat everyone with respect and dignity.
Refrain from any form of discrimination, harassment, or inappropriate behavior.
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines.
Report any unsafe conditions or incidents to your supervisor immediately.
4. Confidentiality
4.1 As a volunteer, you may have access to confidential information about WDAA, its clients, or its operations. You agree to keep this information confidential and not disclose it to any unauthorized persons.
5. Use of WDAA Property
5.1 You agree to use WDAA property, equipment, and materials responsibly and only for the purposes of your volunteer activities. Any property, equipment, or materials issued to you must be returned at the end of your volunteer service.
6. Background Checks
6.1 For certain volunteer positions, WDAA may require a background check. By submitting your application, you consent to WDAA conducting a background check if necessary.
7. Termination of Volunteer Service
7.1 WDAA reserves the right to terminate your volunteer service at any time for any reason, including but not limited to failure to adhere to these terms and conditions, misconduct, or unreliability.
7.2 You may also choose to end your volunteer service at any time. We request that you provide as much notice as possible to your supervisor.
8. Liability and Indemnity
8.1 WDAA is not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage that may occur during your volunteer service, except to the extent required by law.
8.2 You agree to indemnify and hold harmless WDAA, its officers, employees, and agents from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses arising out of or related to your volunteer activities.
9. Amendments
9.1 WDAA reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. You will be notified of any significant changes.
10. Agreement
By submitting your volunteer application, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms and conditions. You also certify that the information provided in your application is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge.
